Subject: Place to Swin for a Month
I am currently a student at Tulane in New Orleans, but will be back home in KC for about a month during winter break. Anyone know where I could swim (indoors) for a reasonable price? I checked 24hr fitness and a month membership is like 80 bucks and it doesn't seem like the Y is much better.

Try Prarie Life Fitness and/or the Jewish Community Center. Both are in the Overland Park Olthe area.

You might also try the Johnson County Recreation facilities that have lap pools the Matt Ross Center and Roeland Park Recreation Center. They might have a better rate or at least a daily rate.

Roeland Park has some 50 meter length lanes, might be your best bet?

How about the Blue Valley Rec Center on 151st in OP, KS? I have a punch card and go when the hours are convenient. Then you don't have to join a pricey gym.

Next time you are in KC for break, give me a shout.  The YMCA has college student rates that are $35/month, access to all 19 YMCA locations in the KC metro area, and no contracts.  Of the 19 locations, all but 4 have indoor pools.
