Subject: 22nd MRC Sprint Triathlon

Hi!
I was wondering whether any of you have raced this event in the past.  Do you think this is a suitable Tri for someone's first Tri?  If anyone has raced it I would love to hear any comments you have on it!

I am planning this to be my first event as well.  Hopefully it is a good one for beginners.

I just registered on Friday and asked the person whether it was good for beginners or not and he said it was.  Whether that is true or not I guess we will find out at the race!

This will be my first tri since high school...it's been awhile! From what I can tell it should be good for beginners- pool swim, staggered start, relatively flat bike and run. Happy training and see you there!

Hi,

I just spoke to the organizer (from Tri It), and said its excellent for beginners, no time limits, flat course for bike and run and is a go, no matter the weather.

Welcome to Calgary. You will soon learn there is no normal for the weather especially in the spring and fall.
