Subject: 20 years after your last IM

A multiple IM frinisher friend of mine told me that 'statistically you will die approximately 20 years after your last IM'.  I thought this was kinda funny.

But then I got to thinking about it...and the more I thought about it, the more it made sense.  Well, it makes sense for me anyway and people like me (who are prone to excess). 

So what are your favorite IM pearls of wisdom and/or great IM quotes?  (not just triathlon because the are too many but IM)

My favorite is an IM is like wrestling a gorilla.  you don't quit when you want to, you quit when the gorilla wants to

This carried me through many a training day and on the day of the race.
