This might be a REALLY REALLY stupid question, but I also wanted to prove the saying wrong that "the only stupid question is the one left unasked."

Is there any differentiation between Ironman logo / gear for a Half Ironman and a Full Ironman?

They don't have an M-Dot with a "half" or a "/2" under it do they?  Or they put "70.3" after everything?

I don't want to be an M-Dot poser when I'm going to be only half an Ironman...

I've got quite a few HIM memorabilia, EVERYTHING M-Dot has the 70.3 right there ; as it should.  Look at the top right of my avatar even

Does anyone know if there will be an online athlete tracker ?

(I have to say -- both the ri70.3 website AND the Ironman website are sorely lacking)

I can swear I saw it.  I'm actually positive I saw it somewhere that there will be live Athlete Tracking for R.I.  Just don't remember where I saw it...

the only thing I saw was that there will be a live video feed at the finish line - this was on the Ironman.com website.  No info anywhere on the IMRI site - that I can find.

For IMNO70.3 they posted the tracker on Ironman.com on race day, there's that news feed section that always has updates on whatever Mdot race is happening that day. It's not a tracker that you sign up for I think, it's where someone can log on and see your splits as you cross the various timing mats. BT friends were tracking me during NO and posting on the watching thread.

And the website totally sucks! Useless!

Thanks, guys !

I just called someone at WTC and was told that there would be tracking the day of on http://www.ironmanrhodeisland.com/ .  Don't know if this is a live tracker, video feed, etc.

Seriously, for the amount of money the IM corp. charges for their races I expect better communication !

... and I am getting really really excited !

Ugh, I've been attempting to pack for days to avoid the old night before packing but to no avail. I'm taking the shuttle, I was going to email you about going together. I'll even go at your early bird time

I think we're all on the early bird schedule for the shuttle. Doesn't it leave at 4am or something?

I've got most of my gear laid out already. Just have to stuff it in a bag tonight. I'm sure I'll forget something. Oh well--that's what expos are for.

Maybe go for a swimmy in the afternoon?  I'm riding a pink camoflauge QR - hard to miss   Weather looks better than last year - not  too hot! Yippee!

That is just obscene! I had a dream two nights ago that I was headed to the swim start and realized I'd forgotten to pack my running shoes and helmet. So I made a list

We're leaving as early as possible tomorrow am. I'm hoping to be at the Expo by 3 or so. I'll make myself easy to spot and wear my bright yellow Tour de France T-shirt.
