Any long distance runners have bunions?

 ... and do they start to hurt when you ramp up your mileage / go long?

Mine have just started to bother me (averaging 40ish miles per week).  I don't think it is the shoes because I have used this exact model earlier this year.  Any suggestions on how to alleviate this pain on my long runs?

Socks? Bunion cushion of sorts?
