I'm on the fence because it does teach a "Christmas lesson" as the point of the movie.

That song drives me nuts.

It's a rework of a song by Wet Wet Wet that was on the UK charts for some ridiculous amount of time back in the 90's (I think it was the theme for that 'Four Weddings and a Funeral' movie that also had Hugh Grant in it), and you just couldn't get away from it on the radio at the time.

Oh, and the thread focus: Gremlins.

almost famous.  the movie opens with the chipmunks christmas song.  this is my fave movie of all time.
