Subject: Rear Derailleur question?

Hello you all,

I was wondering if anyone could explain to me the difference in between a short cage rear derailleur to the medium/long cage ?

short cage are usually used for road applications with double fronts chainrings where the chain line is not moving a huge amount, long cages are used to take up significant slack on long chainlines such as triples and MTB's and such, i have attached a couple of pics, look atthe length of the arm going down, the dura ace is short and the ultegra is long
