Buying Speed?

I was talking with my chiro lately and mentioned that I was looking to buy my first tri bike this year. His response was "so you are going to buy some speed?'. Which made me think. There are separate divisions for those of us that are disadvantaged by gravity. How about those of us that are similarly disadvantage by wind resistance?
