I was in your exact same position (same bike, same size, same location) about two months ago, and had a very tough time myself... picked up the last one I could fine locally (in northern virginia, which isn't exactly local for me, a baltimore suburbs guy).

Anyway, in my opinion, you waited too long for the deal.  Now your options are to get an 09, or to see if you can still get the bike for $2100 (the going rate when I bought it) from one of the on-line vendors (sunrise cyclery in long island was offering that deal when I bought mine, plus there would be no tax).  But that would require you to pay to have the bike assembled and/or shipped to you.  And you wouldn't get some of the perks that come from a local shop (mine came with a free annual tuneup, plus lots of discounts on other standard maintenance, etc).

I personally wouldn't order online unless you've alredy been fitted professionally.
