your right...times r long...being a slow BOPer myself, i wanted to make extra sure nobody drowns. ...plus not run out of energy by training to just meet the distance on the swim. of course this program is ammendable...it has only been up since beginning of this year...i would love to get feedback like this so it may be tweaked.
if u know your pace and u compute that u can finish easily with a shorter time than thats cool.

Okay Ron, I will give you the feedback when I have completed the program. Untill now I realy think it is a good program for beginners (like me). I started some swimming and running in october '03 but my progress since I started the program is by far better than in october till januari. So thanks!
i did base these programs on split times of BOP'ers in several representative tri's. then i added some more minutes onto that for the training peak. of course if your naturally athletic and have a great pace, the oly program might get u to a 1/2im???...well, maybe almost.
