n00b from BC/WA

Hey, what's up y'all, I'm Jen.

I live in BC but I hail from Washington State. I'm interested in stepping up my exercise routine soon, and there have been signs all over the place for beginner triathletes on campus, so I thought I'd do a little research and maybe start adding in a tri workout to see where it got me.

I come from a swimming background- three years in high school, love the sport, but here there's no one to compete with. I go to UBC and half the team are future olympians, which means that people like me (who love competition and swimming but aren't dedicated or experienced enough for high-level competition) don't have anyone to compete with.

UBC does, however, have a good TriClub that I might join next year if this sticks.

Anyway, glad to be here, hope to still be here come fall!
