The good?  The bad?  How hard is it?  I don't have a ton of experience on the bike so it would be pushing it a little for me but I think it would be good before White Lake.

I'm pretty sure it's a fairly new race...but if you're going for white lake, go for it....what's your base like now?!

It could definitely be better but it could also be worse.  It's okay....How's that for specific?

I would imagine that the run will be on pretty soft ground - and will almost be like a trail run as it is around the Whitewater Center. I have done a few trail races out there and the area around the facility is wide open with gravel. You will not set a personal best in a 4 mile run and may want to consider trail shoes that are a bit more sturdy. The facility though is beautiful and there will be a lot to watch that will keep your mind off of your suffering. The ride should be pretty but a lot of rolling hills out there - I am using this one as training for the upcoming Tris.

go for it!

it would be fun...your recovery time shouldn't be too bad, plus it's nice to get race experience in to help with nerves.

My son won his age group last year and he was in the top 10. His observations were:
Rolling bike course with two good size hills. He rode a disc wheel and got a very good bike time.
Technical run course with a lot of slippery downhill sections. Couple people I know fall and got minor injuries.
However, I think they changed the run course this year to avoid paying more fees to Whitewater Center.
Good Luck.
