Subject: inguinal - recovery period?
I am seeing my doctor on Monday as I have developed an inguinal hernia.

My question is simple. I have a marathon scheduled for May 20 and a Tri for June 19. Any chance I will be able to do these or is the recovery period really long?

Will know more on monday about what surgery is going to be done.

Had an inguinal and bellybutton repaired at the same time. Was cycling in 2 weeks, running in 3 weeks and raced a duathlon at 4 weeks. Seems as though tennis and racketball are tough on these surgery sites but cycling and running aren't too bad. Good luck.
