anyone know a pool in/near ellicott city that allows drop ins

You could try and see if they have 1 day guest pass (thinking of joining want to try out ) at lifetime or one of the CA pools. In Anne Arundel they is the North Arundel aquatic center (route 3 just south of route 100) .. south of EC is Fairland Auqatic Center west of Laurel.

I can't think of any.  I would say to call the Columbia Association to find out what their plans are or to get with someone who is a member and can get you in on a guest pass for the session.

I'm a member of the CA but I don't remember anything about any sort of "trial session" when I first talked to them a few years ago.

Edit: And it is going to be 40 or so on Sunday ... not good riding weather to me!
