Just back from IM 70.3 Fla and the heat got to me at mile 4 of the run, legs tighten up and had to shut it down coming in. Was on pace to go 5:45-5:50, finished at 5:57:51, still beat my goal of sub 6hrs. Looking forward to running on flat asphalt after the african grassland run at Disney...nasty. FM |

Not sure if they are going to repave more of the road or just that smaller section. I'll keep ya'll posted. Hopefully they will- there's nothing better than riding on fresh, smooth asphalt! |

Ran 7 miler on Friday and 8 miles today, both under 10 min miles and with negative splits (that's good for this Clydesdale). Long rides are around 40 miles now but we ought to be at HIM distance this coming weekend. Cycling speed is toast since IMFL last year. Starting to drop weight and I'm down to 217. I hope to race at 200 for HIMAUG and 195 for B2B. We shall see! |

And if I remember correctly from other posts that I have read on the GA forum (there is a very long thread about this race with lots of useful info as well as plenty that is a waste of time - http://www.beginnertriathlete.com/discussion/forums/thread-view.asp?tid=121953&posts=501&start=1), I don't think you're normally allowed to swim in the river there. Could be wrong but I think I remember reading this somewhere. |

With high humidity its gonna be HOT so train for heat folks. We will be posting a date in mid-late july for a BT re-con ride of the course. Planning on heading over and staying at moster-in-laws in Aiken. Would love to have some BTers meet up for the ride.
