To the OP, good on ya!

My best is 4 days in a row of 2:30 when it was getting too dark to ride after work last fall during IM training.

I can still bust out 90 minutes really easily, but anything over two hours starts to wear on me.

If only some person or company would inventy batteries that could run our house and we could charge these batteries everytime we were on the trainer. If that were the case you would have cut your electric and heating bill in half for this month!

ok, some of you guys are animals...I thought I'd die after a 8 mile hill road run f/b 2 hr spin bike ride. Thank goodness for HBO on demand! "American Gangster" . Its all that made me not think about how sore my butt was getting. 4-5 hrs on the road is WAY easier!

JohnAgs3 - 2009-02-17 3:25 PM Nice work on the three hours. Yes, 3 hours on a trainer is way harder than a 3 hour jaunt outside. Your legs are spinning all the time..you literally never stop, never have a stop sign, stop light, ...nothing. Your legs are in motion constantly. That's not easy. And once you factor in the mental toughness to sit there for that long without any changing scenery..its tough. I always find the first hour harder than the second for some reason, but I am usually like that with my workouts. My first interval is harder on me mentally than my last.

so you mean that it is more training? This period I am doing sadly ONLY trainer session because of the snow and ice outside and I do it 4x week from 45 to 120mins hard sessions Zone 2, Zone 3.

I am asking to myself if I will see all the benefits in 1month when spring will come and I will go outside...
