Are there any BTers out there that have done this race?  Is it as difficult as the webpage says that it is?

i;ve done it twice, finished once.

the website doesnt even do the race justice. it is a sick, twisted weekend.

the bike course find every single hill in the area, and the run if you are not used to trails is brutal.

finally, the back to back to back format will leave you mentally and physically flattened.

awesome weekend!

do you have to do all 3 tris in a row or can you register for just 1 day?

they used to open both the olympic tris and the half as individual races, but not the friday one (its like a 22min race).

not sure if they are this year or not.

Last year they started it as an all or nothing type thing.  Years in the past you could do one or the other or a couple.  I guess you still could do one or the other but would have to pay for the whole weekend.

Last year was the first time I did the whole weekend.  The year before I did just the half.  I live here but its really tough to get enough hill training in before the race cause the weather doesnt always cooperate.  I said on each bike loop last year-I wont do this again.  I sang the country song "What was I thinking" alot but signed up as soon as registration opened.
definatlely a suffer fest but the nice thing about it is that its a nice little group and we all pretty much suffer together

Just wondering who all is still doing this race?  Have heard from several that they have decided against it.

I have to go watch this race, it looks amazing.  If I could just do the bike portion I would, climbing is my favorite part in all of cycling.

newbz - 2009-04-24 1:07 AM its still on, never went anywhere.

Not sure what this means....I dont think they went back to being able to select a race?  I think its still an all or nothing type registration like last year.
Im curious to see if anyone left on BT is still doing the race that signed up cause I have heard from many BTer's that they themselves have decided to not participate.
See ya at the race newbz....I will be the one coming in last on the bike after each race
