Subject: RE: Durable running shoes 300-500 miles is the standard "Change your shoes" time no matter what brand you use.
I'm a Clyde and beat up shoes pretty bad so I change them every 3-4 months like clockwork or else I start getting shin splints again. That's after getting my stride checked and such.
Asics tend to last longer than any non-gel shoe I've every used and I've been running since about 1987 when I joined the Army and have tried almost every brand of shoe out there. I always come back to Ascis.
Looking at the Asics page, they don't even list the platinum shoe. Is that one of the Kohl's/Wal-Mart lines? Of course that's not going to hold up for any length of time. Get to a running store and stay out of generic sport's stores when you're buying running shoes. |
