I think it being the end of a long cold winter makes it worse, everyone suffering a bit of SAD, put on a bit of winter weight and reserves both physiologically and psychologically are depleted. Take a deep breath, THIS WILL PASS AND YOU WILL GET BETTER. Spring has sprung and the warmer weather should see you healed, fitter and raring to go. The beauty of triathlon is that every injury can be seen as an opportunity to improve in one of the other disciplines which you haven't worked at before because you haven't had time. Sending you huge cyber hugs. The Munchkin has just asked me what I'm doing and he's sending you hugs too. I think the only reason why I didn't start crying on my way how was because I was in the state of a complete shock. Thank you for the cyber hugs - really need them now - send them right back at you and Munchkin I can see his point, but it wasn't a particularly tactful way of making it. Have some big man cyber hugs! Think i'm managed to hurt a muscle in my arm yesterday :9 dead sore today looks like today will be a bike ride Not a telling off, just for information - it's a girl thing, again :-) Women can be more susceptible to blood clots and one of the first indications that you have one is pain in the calf where the blood is more likely to pool and the clot can get much bigger. Current advice is to get yourself to A & E to have it checked out as the delay getting to your GP may give the clot time to move to where it could do some real harm. What your man should have said was "you did the right thing coming but I think it's just a muscle tear". |

Got as low as 184.8 yesterday, but with school starting back up in the morning, I wonder if my stress hormones are going to spike? I'll try to keep the bad eating to a min. But I've already got my stuff ready for the morning, including my water bottle so... Wish me luck!!! |

Veteran 351 Thibodaux | Subject: RE: Team Skinny 03/2009 March Madness Ate too much over the weekend. Celebrated Hubby's 50 th with steak & Champagne, homemade strawberry shortcake with whipped cream ( a lot ). Went out to eat Fri and ate fried fish for some weird reason. Drank 2 glassed of wine every night. This week will be hard with lots of scheduled restaurant meals. Does anybody else think they're on vacation every time they walk into a restaurant & feel entitled to go crazy? Even if you do it several times a week? What is up with that? On a good note, I had a great beach run yesterday. 65 degrees, slight breeze, beautiful blue skies. And my first HIM is Sunday!! Congrats, Offthegrid! That's a great feeling! I think you should keep lookin for a smokin black dress! Edited by mammatri's 2009-03-30 8:10 AM |

Mammatri's. I am sort of with you. Not so much I feel like vacation (what is that?) but I will eat everything on my plate and I know it is way too much. For me, going out to eat is almost like a mini vacation. I don't have to plan the meal, shop for the food, prepare it, serve it, or clean it up like I do at home. It's absolutely heavenly to just go in, sit down, and the hardest thing I have to do is decide what to order. Maybe that's why I overindulge. I just feel so happy & relaxed. Then we go home and everyone is full and happy and my kitchen is still clean. It's amazing. Until the remorse sets in... |

Veteran 455 Limerick, Ireland | Subject: RE: Team Skinny 03/2009 March Madness Here it is, the last day of March so I really hope my curse will be over today at midnight. I went runnig last night but only manged to do about 2.7km (usually between 4-5km) and my calf got really sore. Then I walked for another 800m just to cool down. Obviously I'm not too happy about this but decided to realx and take it easy for the rest of this week - I skipped my swimming this morning and the next session will be tomorrow. I still have 25days left to my birthday (from tomorrow) so hope that if I don't stress out about it I'll actually lose a few kilos until The Day. Other than that it seems that I'm collecting my new car tomorrow- yes, I'm selling my faithfull Bumblebee (Ford Fiesta 1998) and getting a VW Passat 1999. The new one is simply beautiful- dark green colour, cream interior and wooden finishings (dashboard etc). And it's soooooooo big- I could easily fit a few bodies in the boot I even named the new one already - beacause it's German and you could fit a small house in it, I called it: Von Smallhousen. Have a good day everybody! |
