I know through reading posts that proper fit is one of if not the most important thing with regards to buying a new bike, but I'm up against a time clock here.  bonktown.com is offering a Quintana Roo Seduza complete bike for $1250.  Any in favor of Quintana Roo, and if so, what size, knowing that I'll get the bike properly fitted at a later time.  I'm 6'00", 200 lbs with a 32 inch inseam (short legs).

I couldn't see the model year - do you know???

My guess is that if you REALLY want a Seduza, you could probably find a 2008 model in a LBS for about the same money (plus, with the one on Bonktown you'll have to pay for assembly).

Don't feel compelled to rush into a purchase beause it looks like a steal....

At 6ft you'd need the large (unless you had really short legs or a long torso...or vice versa) what an amazing deal..I'd never heard of Bonktown before. Go buy one right now.

They've had a Caliente for ~$1,800 as well.

They have them for a couple hundred more on backcountry.com if anyone is interested and does't have any luck catching the deals on bonktown.

Hey BM..just saw an ad on Slowtwitch for a bike that might be better for your short legs long torso situation. Price isn't too bad but I'd haggle all the same (ya never know)

You can sign up for alerts from sacattack.com (they cover all of backcountry.com's sites).

Also, if you REALLY want the bike you could try calling the Backcountry.com customer service # or using the "Chat" feature on their site, and telling them you missed the deal but really wanted to buy the bike at that price. They didn't sell their entire stock of Seduzas this morning (althought it looked like all the Mediums were gone).

I've had success doing this before with smaller items. Given the current state of the economy, they may be happy to sell it to you at the bonktown price.

Something to consider - -

If you are average or to the long-torsoed, the statistical majority of cyclists, then you will be a Cervelo P2C Ultegra or Felt B12 customer. There are small differences in the stack and reach, both of which equate to barely a full stem size (1 cm.) change. Head tube heights are different by 1 cm or one headset spacer with the Cervelo P2C Ultegra having the higher trend.

As a Seduza owner, I can say that your long torso/short legs probably won't match this bike well. I'm on it for the opposite reason, long legs, short torso. QR and Cannondale (I've had both) have a relatively short reach compared to other brands.
