Going to be in Newport Beach in late April for time with family. Does anyone have any tri store recommendations for Newport Beach vicinity?

Edge Cyclesports in Laguna Hills carries some gear. They're at the corner of Ridge Route and Moulton by the Public Storage. Also try Fleet Feet in Laguna Niguel. They carry some gear as well. Your best bet, depending on what you're looking for or even to browse is Tri-Zone in Los Alamitos. They're on Bloomfield in an industrial park and have a pretty decent selection of just about anything you could need. Check their website

BTW since you're not local Laguna Hills and Laguna Niguel are both about a 10-20 minute drive from Newport. Los Alamitos is about 30-40 minutes.

If you try to go to Tri-Zone's retail store, it's pretty hard to find--tucked back into an industrial park and there's not really a sign visible from the street.  It's on the southwest corner of Bloomfield & Cerritos.  Neat little store, though, and very nice folks.

I'll second that, the gal who owns the store helped me with wetsuits last year.  She was friendly, knowledgable, and helpful.
