so --- I'm tapering and have a lot of down time.

I'm anxious.

I'm BORED.

I wrote haikus -- why not ?

 

national in six.
taper madness setting in.
ready to race now.

need to go running.
want to lace up shoes and go.
cannot - need to rest.

t minus 6 days.
daily check weather dot com
please be fifty five.

Good luck at your race. I have written a few haikus on my blog over the years. Here ya go:

wrote this one after a very windy bike ride...

The Wind
The wind is my friend
for I have mastered aero
…my foes, I hope not

wrote this one after two weeks of yellow square days...

Solitude
I miss solitude.
No more whining, I am done.
I blogged this, of course.

wrote this after running on the beach...

The Sandpiper Dance
At the water’s edge
Sandpipers dance in the surf
Advance, then retreat
