So, how do your compression tights fit? Are they really snug? A little snug? Can you get them on fairly easily or is it hard??

The reason I'm asking is because I got a pair of the 2XU High Performance Compression Tights and I think they may be the wrong size. They are pretty easy to get on and they do feel slightly tighter than my Nike running tights, but I'm not sure they're "compressing" anything, if you know what I mean. They are super comfy though! The thing is, I took all my measurements and emailed them to 2XU before I bought them, and asked them what size I should get. They said small, so that's what I got.

I know they have graduated compression with the most at the calves, but I'm just wondering how yours all fit?? Do you think I got the right size or should I downsize? Or, is it just the brand?

Thanks,
Aimee

I have CWX tights and the instructions that came with them said to get them to your knees and "work them up." They are tough to get into. But you have to be sure they do not pinch you at the waist.

I just bought a pair of CWXs too. They are tight. You can really feel them. They are super snug and comfy. I like them a lot!

I have zoot brand ones and mine are really tight, sometimes I wish it was a bit less tight around the hips! I have some 2XU tights (some of the 1st compression gear they sold) and the fit is much more loser to the ponit you don't feel it much. I don't know if the newer stuff is better/tighter though.

I've also got my Zoots (wearing them as I type this).  Based on their sizing chart for their socks I bought size 4 in the socks.  I didn't even think about checking an ordered the 4's for my recovery tights as well since the socks were snug.  Oops .... based on the sizing I should have gotten 3 in the tights.  But the 4's fit and seem to work.  I've got it down now so that I can get them on in about a minute or so.  I put it on like my wetsuit bottoms in that I roll it up some and start at the feet and work my way up to the knees on each leg and then get it all the way up the rest pretty quick.

Very tight. I wear the size 2 mens Zoot recovery and I based that off of measurements of my legs and Zoot's sizing chart. If you are in between sized, go smaller. They are a bear to put on, but once you have a system, it's a bit easier.

I may be way off here, but I'm pretty sure tights should fit, um.... tight.

They should be pretty tight. I have 2XU as well and they aren't hard to get on but they are very tight. In order to get them tight enough you may have to put up with some slight discomfort on the waist band, but it's not bad.

I'm 6' 174 and wearing 2XU Medium tights. They fit great and I like them, however they are very tight at the waist and I wish they would be a little looser.

Do you wear them only for recovery or do you train in them as well?

Thanks everybody for your responses.

flmonkey: I originally wanted tights for recovery, but I researched the 2xu high performance tights and they said they can be used for training and recovery, so I thought I would use them for both. I have only used them for recovery, and they feel nice but they're just not tight! I haven't used them for training, but I can tell they would be really comfortable to wear! I got them on sale and they ended up being cheaper than my Nike running tights I usually wear for training, so since everyone seems to be saying the recovery tights should be "tight" I may just wear them for training and try to find a sale on actual recovery tights. I hope that makes sense!
