Joe Pool Monthly Bike TT

did you do these last year??   I would love to but I doubt I can make it out there by 5:30 to register... I might just show up later and see if I can still do it

Yea. They didn't start till end of August I think. I made one or two. Pretty fun and the price is right.

You don't have to register early like the actual TT race that Jack puts on. These are just timed workouts with no awards or anything and are super casual. Bragging rights is about all you'll get here for setting a new PR or beating your buddy.

Start line is open from 6pm-7pm. Just show up and pay your money anytime in that window and you're good to go. Of course getting there a tad early for some warmup is good.

Looks like a blast I'll come out there for sure.  Is a trainer the best way to warm up?  That's what the pros do...

You can use a trainer if you like, but there is plenty road and space inside the park to do your warmup on the road if you prefer. The monthly TT is cool as it gives us plenty of chance to experiment with different warmup methods, pacing methods, etc., and see your progress throughout the year.

TT cancelled for April for some reason it seems.

I sent an email and actually heard back. Their insurance coverage didn't go through in time. They are good to go for the rest of the series though.

I'm actually really excited about these as I have a lot of fun doing them and was hoping it was a one time thing also.

That's a shame for this month. I had pretty much worked out how I was going to make it. I'm also going to try to hit them all. I'm not racing much this year and this seems like alot of fun for a little bit of money.

Tomorrow is the first one of the monthly TT out at Joe Pool. I'll be there and bringing 3 or 4 guys from my work too. Hope some of you can make it.

Monthly TT will be this Tuesday the 16th. See you there.
