Hi Everyone!

Just a quick question about compression sleeves or socks. My training volume is increasing, and I am looking for something to help with my lower legs during and after races. I have some soreness and tendinitis that flares up with longer distances.  Have you used them? Do you like them?  Sock or sleeve? DeSoto or Zoot? And most importantly, do they give you funny tan lines?

Thanks for your input!

If you're looking for something for 'during' a race, the calf sleeves seem to work better ( since you can wear whatever sock you want, and can be put on after the swim more easily ).

Personally, I like zensah and 2xu.  I have 2xu compression tights and really like them.  Considering some compression sleeves from them or zensah.

I have some compression socks that I wear for recovery and while flying.  These really do seem to make a difference in the soreness after a long run, especially if I run in the morning and then have to go sit at a desk at work.

And regarding the funky tan lines.... that comes with the territory whether you wear compression socks/sleeves or not.

I just picked up some Zoot socks and tights this weekend. Both garments are made by CEP and they've been making medical compression stuff for years.

I don't think I would race in either of them though, the socks are very hard to get on.

I use Zensah sleeves and love them.On my disfunctional leg I have found if I don't wear it that their is a noticeable difference.( Forgot it a couple of times and couldnt figure out why I was having so much trouble on the usual course/pace/distance

Their tights not so much. Very wide size range and not even close to the compression I get from Skins.

Just took the Zensah sleeves off and my legs feel fantastic! I rode hard yesterday, and I have no ill effects now. In the past without the sleeves I haven't been so lucky.

I hope I am not thread hi-jacking but I think my questions piggybacks on the original.

Do compression socks help with shin splints? When I run hard I get a little bit of pain on the inside of my shin,
poterior shin splints I think.

Thanks.
