Some snow flurries started falling as I was standing in the registration line.

Comments:

The weather forecast called for strong winds with gusts up to 40 mph. When I got hit with the first gust of 40 mph, I turned around to do the "short course" since it nearly knocked me off my bike. Then the snow flurries turned into an all-out blizzard, with snow sticking to the ground. The novelty of riding in the snow soon wore off and I headed back to the lodge to hang out next to the fire place.

The entry fee included a bike jersey that looks really cool, the ride was a benefit ride for ALS or Lou Gehrig's disease. The race director was a lady who lost her husband last year to ALS. www.alsride.com

Hmm, you're in Georgia, and it's snowing. I'm in Maine, and we're getting flooded with all this rain.  Is the world upside down?
