I'm racing St. A's 11 days and I'm totally underprepared. I'm blaming it on a calendar malfunction. :-)

My wife (who is awesome) said to focus on having a good time rather than a good time. Solid advice.

I know, I know. I somehow harbored the delusion that signing up for an early race would keep me focused throughout the winter and get me a head start on the season. NOT!

All kidding aside, it actually did partially have the desired effect, though not quite as much as expected.

I'm doing it as well.  Living in MA, I haven't ridden in shorts yet, had a couple runs in the 50s. It will be interesting for sure.

This is a B/C race for me and I'm training for IM not an Oly distance race.

The BT vibe is so amazing at the race...see you in St. Pete!

Yeah dude, talk about sneaking up. I've got a race this weekend and have only ridden 23 miles in the last 10 months, and just got my bike put together tonight. This'll be an interesting race. Still hoping to hammer out 21avg for the bike.

I feel ya on that one, I have a race in 2 weeks and I am going to just die.....totally unprepared IMO. But the only reason I signed up for it was to gauge how my progress was, definitely not an A race.

Eh, you're probably not as underprepared as you think you are. Triathletes seem to be their own toughest critics.  It sounds like a blast of a race, so go have fun!

I have a duathlon on the 26th and I feel the same way!  Happens to me every year with these early season races.
