That swim was crazy, that is all I got to say about that. The bike leg was by far my fastest ever followed by my best run off the bike for a 5k. So I am very happy how I performed today.

This is also my first time using a wet suit. I was amazed at how warm I was. I was not one bit cold. I also felt like I had a life jacket on for boating as I could just float without trying.

I thought the weather was perfect for the bike while I was on the bike. However, my feet were numb for the first mile of the run, so maybe a tad warmer would've been perfect.

my bike said about 17.3 miles. My bike still sucked though. I had the same problem at the Miami tri (numb forefoot/toes). Never happens on training rides or on the trainer. I figured it out today. In the middle of my ride I said " Hey dummy your feet are a little wet- there is a big vent in the toe of your bike shoes. They might get really cold" I cant feel my feet for the ride or for most of the run. It makes running more difficult. I cant wait for it to get warmer.

My shoes have a hole in the bottom of them. On days like today I just cover the hole with tape.

thanks for the helpful hint about the shoes and tape.  I would have never thought of that.  I tried my tri-specific shoes for the first time in race conditions yesterday and I haven't had feet that cold since a winter ride.

I am getting pretty darn frustrated with HFP Racing...  My results are still not up, and I am not getting any response to my emails.

My only other experience with them was at the Miami U Tri, and the timing was messed up on that one as well.  WTF?
