Subject: RE: Let's ride Sunday, North Atlanta I've only been out on the Comet trail a few times and I usually go fairly early in the mornings. The trail hasn't been too crowded each time I go. It is definitely most crowded between the first and third trail heads, though. Once you get out beyond the first few miles, it starts emptying out.
I'd say if you go at off-peak hours and start your ride out beyond the Mavell Road trail head, your cycling ability and experience doesn't matter. And also, there are plenty of mountain bikers on the trail, so don't feel uncomfortable being on the trail on a mountain bike. The silver comet is much straigher than the Big Creek Greenway, too.
John Tanner is also my first tri, so I'll see you out there! |
