Subject: RE: Bike route to Vancouver/205 Bike Route I havent heard of any part of the bike path on 205 being closed... but I find that whole bridge path to be awkward, and less satisfying than other routes in around the area that avoid the crossing altogether. 205 path - here's one route from SE: http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/Mt-Tabor-to-Vancouver-via-the-I-205-Bridge Other good rides to build up miles easily involve riding the HCRH via Troutdale out to the Bridge of Gods (and back ) OR cross, then come back to 205 on the WA side of the river, and cross back on 205 bike path south. Or just up to Crown Point or Larch Mountain and back... You can also loop up to Mt. Hood and back from SE via Estacada via Springwater Corridor is also a nice lower-traffic route. Also, any routes along Clackamas River, in the wine country, or in/around mt. angel are nice as well. rsqdvr - 2009-04-24 8:40 PM OK, so I am training for my first HIM as well as a century later in the year and I have been considering riding my bike from my house in SE Portland to the hospital in Vancouver. Anyone know if any part of the I-205 route is open going towards Vancouver? Edited by kirih 2009-04-26 1:50 AM
