4500 Meter swim this afternoon and 45 min of walking to and from the pool. This is the furthest I`ve swam in a long time, but it felt good. I was definitely tierd towards the end, but I was able to keep my stroke count low and stay efficient.

Have a great weekend.

After 2 days of no training I finally got out this morning and did a nice long run of 8.5 miles. I haven't been in the pool for over three weeks so I'm hoping to break the dry spell today by going for a swim during the lunch break.

Well, when it rains it pours! I lost my favorite goggles after my first tri this past weekend. Probably lying around somewhere but I haven’t been able to locate them. I grabbed a buddy’s extra and headed to the pool at lunch today. So it turns out that while I may have purchased the cheapest pair of goggles I found they all do not fit the same. Needless to say his face is about 2 times as big as mine and I could not get a good seal..... So after my 1st 50 meters I stop to adjust them and something stings the bottom of my foot (yes about 3 ft under the water level). So to make a long story short I swam a whopping 250 meters got fed up left early and went to my friendly sporting goods store and grabbed a new pair of goggles that work. Hopefully tonight’s workout will be smoother.
