Is anyone here doing this event?

if you've never done a time trial...it's a ton of fun!  The roads are silky smooth with some hills for an added challenge.

I'm most likely doing this event. I've done it in the past and it's well organized and alot of fun. The organizers are first class. 2 examples:
The night before the TT, they work with volunteers to sweep gravel off the shoulder and make it safe and "silky smooth".
I signed up for the last event and pre-paid my registration fee. A couple of days before the TT my grandmother passed away. When I sent an email to let Kevin (the race organizer) know I wouldn't make it; he passed along his condolences and refunded my race fee. Like I said, First Class!

I'll be wearing a Corinth Cycling Club jersey and riding a Scott Plasma. Look me up if you do the race.

You are 100% correct...first class.  I didn't get a chance to do the first event this year either since I was out of town, but I hear the roads are completely repaved and very smooth (did the May event last year).  I'll be sure to look for you...I'm in a PACC kit with a Cervelo P2C.

I heard a rumor that Corinth Cycling Club has banned TT bikes on their rides...is that true?

Sorry to hear about your grandmother...my condolences as well.

Thanks for the message.

I work down the street from 428 and ride on it regularly. It is a really nice stretch of pavement. Let's hope they wait a LONG time before putting down chip seal.

Corinth Cycling banned aero bars for the Big Steamer ride/race that they do on Tuesday and Thursday in the summer. It's more of a mini-road race anyway. It pissed off a few people, but that debate makes me tired/bored. I've got a road bike so I'm going to ride with them. It's a fun workout if you haven't joined.  The other Corinth rides are open to aero bars and tri/tt bikes.

See you next weekend.

Brandon, I'm in.  That's not too far from home and I ride that area often.  In fact, if that road is smooth, I think I found a new Ironman training route.  My old IM 100 mile route was destroyed by chip seal.

I have to see if that's the saturday I'm shuttling people to the airport if not, I'd be interested, Plus I'm looking for new routes out there since the chip seal was laid down...

--> Tommy that hill coming out of the park where we would usually turn around at for the sat rides last year is a perfect IMKY training hill...  I'm trying to find a way to avoid riding chip seal to get there or drive.. Is 377 bike friendly ??

Any interest in miles afterward?  or a run?

I was planning on doing this but I will be out of town that weekend.  If my plans change I'll be out there.  There will be several people I know volunteering out there and it should be a great day.  I've heard nothing but great things about the IC3 TT's.

I plan to do more miles on the bike and run also. I had a brick scheduled for that day so I'm just going to work the race into my brick. Would love to have company.

Ok, I haven't decided if I'm running or riding afterward.

Hope the TT went well for everyone. I decided not to race b/c I was a bit sick and my hamstring was sore. My body needed the rest. Hope to see everyone at the next event.
