What's the largest elevation gain you have been in for an OWS.  please name the distance.

maybe you're asking what the difference is when traveling? Like whats the difference between swimming at sea level and swimming in Colorado? I hope maybe.

Otherwise, x3 on 0

Brian Fantana: They've done studies, you know. 60% of the time it works, every time.
[cheesy grin]
Ron Burgundy: That doesn't make sense.

Several race distances tied with 0.... 400m, 500m, 750m, 1500m, 1.2 miles.

Have a 2 and 3-miler on the calendar this summer.  I'm screwed if there is much elevation gain in them, screwed, I tell ya!!

eta: oops! had to remove the shorter distances... those were pool swims.  Didn't want to screw up the data.

50m elevation gain (and loss) in a 1000m swim. While not technically open water, the swim was in a river, upstream going out, downstream coming back. :p

If you are talking from training level to race level, both a 7700 foot loss (going from 7700 feet up to sea level), and a 6000 gain.
