What's the minimum you have to order for your local Chinese take-out place to deliver?  I was going to order from a place near me for the first time and when I called and gave them my order, they said the minimum was $20.  I always thought it was more like $10 at most places.  When I questioned it, I got a lecture!  So, I hung up and had a bowl of cereal.  meh

$10 minimum.....but that was a while ago.  I don't eat much Chinese takeout these days.

$10 bucks...but I don't eat there any more because...well...it leaves me hungry an hour later, if you catch my drift...

I don't dare touch the stuff.  How can you when your local take-out is named "Kenny's Chinese Restaurant"??

Max! What's up?!

The place where I used to live instituted a $10 minimum but we were grandfathered in and could order whatever we wanted (and usually they'd just rattle our order off as soon as they saw our number come up). Yes, we ate THAT MUCH takeout. Yuck.

$7 where I live in South Carolina.  Pretty reasonable.  To be honest I hardly see how they make money doing it, especially back when gas was so high.

I just do pick-up...it's the difference between ready in 15 minutes and 60-90 minutes for the delivery guy...

Can't say i've ever ordered less than $20 from any chinesee restaurant, so it's never been an issue. But like a previous poster, ours knows our number and only has a problem when we change up our order. Not like we order all the time either, maybe 1-2 times a month.
