Aloha Everyone:

I'm made the commitment and now I'm going to start training for my 1st triathlon in July. I hope to use this site as a resource and tool to assist me with my preparation and to educate me on the proper training methods. I’m really excited and hope to share the experience with all of you. I hope the forums on this website are friendlier to us newbies than other sites I have visited. Here are the details for the event…

 

Sprint Distance Triathlon event:
• SWIM: 500-750 meters (based upon ocean conditions)
• BIKE: 14 miles
• RUN: 5K

I live on Kauai too...  The race is the Tri-Kauai for Koloa Plantation Days.
