Went out too quickly on swim and lost form badly.
What would you do differently?:

Start swim more slowly and get used to crossing under lanes at each end. BTW, I forgot to lap my watch so all times are guesses.

includes about 200m dash from pool, ran intothe end of the bike racks as I was going around. Little problems gettting shoes on.

Get tri specific shoes.

Should have pushed pace more, and I don't think the distance for the run is correct.

First event on base and had some organizational problems, overall very good race for my first, pretty low key. Not much after the race going on. Got results posted pretty quickly and had a small awards ceremony and raffle.
