IMoo Bike Loop - Friday Afternoon

Wish I could. Alas, I will be at work until 4:00. *sigh*

Yeah, sucks.  Dang jobs anyways.

I am most likely in. I just remembered an appt that I have at 6:15 on friday, but it is the easiest thing to re-schedule. I am just waiting to hear back.

If I am unable to re-schedule, would it be at all possible to leave earlier?

I can ride but not until about 2:30. I work up on the square until 2:15.  Do we want to start at Olin Turville park and do the out and back?  Also, what is the traffic like at this time of day on a friday?

Works for me.  I can be in Verona..(BP?) by 2:45..wheels out at 3:00.  Jon you in?

Robert...do you know the course well? I still don't know it well enough to navigate.

Ok, so I have the entire day off tomorrow (and today, too but that's beside the point...).

I decided that the best way to spend a vacation is T.I.T.S., right? So I am think I will head out about 10-11 or so and do lap #1 on the IM loop, and then meet up with bertgwen and AJ and whoever else can make it and do loop #2 with them.

Anyone want to ride earlier and join me for one or both loops? 

Wow...ambitious aren't we.   I wish could but can't get off until 2:15.  You better not bail on loop 2 dude.....or else..

Ok...so Jon and I are goin for 2 loops starting at the BP in Verona at 11:30.  Hooking up with Robert for the second loop later.  If anyone wants to join us...pm me. 

I believe yes, the BP on Whalen, across from Gray's Tied House. Anticipating 3.5 hours for loop one, assuming we don't get lost (which WILL happen...) 

Want to plan on meeting us at the BP around 3 or so? Do you have Amy's cell? If you don't, PM me yours and we'll be sure to touch base before then.

You might end up being the SAG wagon for us...if you can find us, that is...

Hey guys, sorry to say, I think I might be out for part or all of the ride tomorrow. I was out riding today on the Cap View bike course and hit the deck at 25mph.

In a bit of pain, but after initial check-up, looks like nothing is broken and I have some sweet battle scars. I am going in tomorrow for another check-up, as well as taking the bike over to the shop to get it checked out.

If I am feeling better tomorrow and the doc says "it's nothing but a flesh wound" then I'll be up for one loop, riding my roadie. I'll contact both of you this evening if I don't hear from you.

Whoa, dude! What happened?!? And, you know that we need pictures of these battle scars, right?

Not really sure exactly what happened, I know I was on the bullhorn bars, and the way I ride them, I think my hand slipped and hit the front brake. It happend so quick that the next thing I know I'm on the ground and my bike is about 10 feet away, and my SHOES are still clipped into the bike...

Fortunately it all happend just outside of Governor Nelson park, so I was able to get to the ranger station and get some aid right away. After getting cleaned up and checked out, I was able to drive myself home.

I actually feel fine this morning! A little sore, but I think that's from the biking, not the crash. I'm taking my bike into the shop this morning to get it checked out, and then I am heading in to the doc to get myself checked out (gotta get the more important things done first, right?) 

The worst battle scar is actually on the top of my foot, and the only one that might keep me from riding...Gotta figure out a way to bandage it up so I can ride without it rubbing too much.

Awwww, DAWG!  Sorry to hear of the wipeout.  But, yep, need to show the scars.

Thankfully they're not too gnarly, I am only looking at 2-3 days off the bike to fully heal up. I guess I'm just starting my taper 2 months early!

I was in Verona at 2:15 and stopped by the gas station in case any of you riders were there getting ready - no signs of anyone - hope you got out there, it's a beautiful day.
