Or is it just me?

I've had a few sports massages recently, one every three weeks since Jan.

I know my muscles are really tight and they have been working on my calves, hamstrings and glutes. But the first massage I had and a massage last night I came away with bruises. They were with different people.

they are just little tiny bruises but was just wondering if this has happend to anyone else?

I sometimes come away a little more sore afterwards, especially if I was tight and they needed to really work the muscle.

Do you feel better a day or so afterwards, though?

I've never heard of anyone coming out of a massage bruised. I would think there's some kind of negligence/recklessness unless you bruise easily in general or maybe they are not your regular massage person. Just wierd to me.

Well both times it wasn't the regular massage person I went to. I've seen three masseurs, mainly because of the times I can fit in to go between work and training. and there was one guy that didn't bruise (however my muscles weren't too bad when I saw him)

I have a few problems with my feet ever since I started to do more running training. Which I have pretty much solved thep roblem with orthotics but I'm still trying to get the rest of my muscles loosened again.

I do bruise fairly easily, but I'm still wondering if its something that should be happening or not. I'm definately not thinking negligence

It happens to me all the time. I get bruised very easily. Its been happening to me ever since I was a little girl. I've been to a lot of doctors and they agree that there is nothing wrong with me.

7 years back - there was a short period of time when I was bruising very easily and it looks nasty. Usually from carrying a very heavy travel bag - 70 pounds on my shoulder, even with layers of clothes underneath - my shoulders looked like I was being beaten! Scary. Turned out it was some kind of vitamin B deficiency. I took some homeopathic remedies, cant recall the name and within weeks no more bruising.

I might check that Vit B deficiency thing out and see if that could be the reason.
I'm off for a massage next monday after my tri so I'll see if I bruise again! I've got my regular massage guy back for that appointment. fingers crossed theres no bruises.

Its kinda hard to explain them people look at you strangely when they ask about your bruises and you said Oh yeah I had a massage and I got bruises from a massage!
