So, I am riding my bike this weekend on a new course, there is a train track crossing on a flat stretch of road. No big deal, cross tracks all the time. Something was different about this one though. I hit the tracks going about 32 mph, sit up slightly in seat and then my back wheel bumped up and hit me square in the "you know where." I thought I was going to die. It was like getting kicked full force. In all the years of riding, that had never happened until yesterday. Just thought I'd share, every one enjoy your Monday.

This is why I ALWAYS shift my weight to my feet when I cross stuff like that.

Ouch.

Ouch.

On a similar note, I screwed up shifting at some point on a 40-mi. ride yesterday, which caused the entire bike to violently lurch, so that the nose of the saddle thwacked me in a tender area.
