Subject: Houston bike training?
Most of my training partners can only bike on Sunday which doesn't really fit with my schedule.  I normally hit up Brookshire for 40-80mi on Saturday AM and want to know if anyone else here rides out there in the ~22mph range? I don't mind meeting you during my ride if you don't need to do as much mileage and I'm also open to different locations as long as it's not too far away and got good roads with some hills to ride.  Does anyone know of some faster group rides around the area?

I ride Saturday mornings in that area.  I leave out of the Kroger parking lot at Highway 6 @ West Airport and head out to Fulshear/Simonton/Brookshire area depending on how far I go that particular week (50-75 miles).  When I'm on my own, I'll average about 20 mph for 50 miles, and 23-24 mph in a group ride.

Sounds like the West Oaks ride on Saturday mornings might be a good option for you.
