Has anyone done this race and if so please let me know your experience. This sounds like a great venue according to the website. I have to make a decision between it and I Love the Tavern on June 28th. My budget won't allow me to do both.

Thanks for the input!

I did Bath County last year. The swim is very pretty. The bike course is basically uphill on the way out and downhill on the way back, so at least you can make up the time you may have lost. The run is very long rollers. So lots of running, running uphill, then dowwwwnnnn, and it's an out and back course, so you have to run every downhill, uphill. The only saving grace is that it ENDS on a downhill. If you're not good at hills on the bike or the run, it's gonna be tough.

I haven't done the Bath one but I have been to the area and it is very beautiful. Sounds like it is a very hilly course though. I did the Tavern Tri last year and have signed up again this year. It is a great race. Swim was great, warm water and slow current. The bike has one big hill near the turnaround and has some pretty scenery. The run is mostly trails.

It is awesome! Moderately hilly, but fabulous! Great area--very scenic. It was my first tri and I am going back! The water was nice too!
