and now the question.....

Can someone give me an idea on how much tension I'm supposed to have on my trainer? The owner's manaul didn't say squat.

If you hear squeaking from your rear tire, you've got the tension too low. Creep it up until the squeek goes away.

The manual that came with my Kurt Kinetic specifically warned against too much tension. It said to tighten only enough to avoid tire slippage.

Yup, the squeaking is tire slippage
