Subject: My first crash
I decided to go ride on the wet roads today. I hit a bump and over corrected. Luckily I only damaged my ego. Here are my battle scars:

I didn't cause much damage to my bike, just some scratches. My front break's alignment was messed up, so I'll need to go fix that tomorrow. Main big question is about my helmet. I've heard that you should replace it after hitting it on the ground. I did that, and my helmet has a small crack, maybe 3mm long. Here is a picture of it, but its with my phone so its very blurry. Do you guys think it is fine, or should I go ahead and replace it?

I wouldn't take any chances and replace it - apparently it's like a car seat and it's the padding that gets damaged.  Heal quickly!

Sorry about your crash!

Definatley replace your helmet... they are only designed to take one hit and though you cant see it the structural integrity would have been weakened in the impact...

You only have one brain... best to be safe and sensible with it... do NOT head out for a ride until you have a new helmet!

Take no chances with your brain! You only get one. Buy a new helmet!

Replace the helmet.  Some companies will send you a replacement for free (or for shipping), depending on how old it is.

Yeah, it isn't worth the risk. I'll replace it before my next ride.

Definitely replace the helmet, and shave your legs before you crash again. It really does help.
