Subject: Chattanooga Waterfront Tri - hotels
Hi all,

Can anyone toss out some hotel recommendations that are close to transition? I stayed way to far away last year and didn't make note of any close hotels.

Did this Tri last year. The Courtyard downtown and the Hilton Garden Inn are about 2-3 blocks from the transition area and expo. There is also a Doubletree that's about 4 blocks from transition. The Sheraton Read House is one of the "official" hotels (i.e. offers discounts for racers), that's about 1/2 mile or so from the transition area. For something a little less spendy, there's a Days Inn that is also in the same area as the Sheraton Read House. This Days Inn has a great and inexpensive diner attached to it. I highly recommend the Meatball Sub as a recovery meal.
