Subject: Cervelo P3 or Felt B2?
A little sad. I thought I was getting a LTD Dulce but it didn't fall through. Someone at the store told me for the same price ( a tad more, $2900-$3000). I could get a cervelo in xs or felt B2. I've looked into both bikes online, they both look quite nice!! A tad worried about fit. I'm 5'1.5'' and have short legs. Any shorter people ride any of these bikes?

I have the B2 (5'8), a friend of mine has the P3 (I think she's less than 5'0). She's a POWERHOUSE on the P3. I don't think she looked at anything but the P3 so I couldn't tell you whether or not it didn't fit her.

I am a 5' 8" male and I have a B2.  Love it.  I bought a 2008 model in December for 25% off at the local tri store.  You can race with the stock TTR wheels to start with, they aren't bad wheels.  I didn't ride a P3, but I did try a P2 and a Cannondale Slice when I was shopping.  The Slice didn't agree with me, but the B2 and the P2C were both equally comfortable.  I bought the B2 because it had DA components for about $300 less because it was on sale.

ETA: I am kinda' towards the 'short legged/longer torso' type physique, too.

Are you talking complete bikes in the Cervelo P3 and B2 for $2900-$3000? I am assuming you mean't a Cervelo P2 and Felt B12 because the MSRP on the 2009 B2 is $3799 and the MSRP on the 2009 P3 is $4500.

So is your shop going to fit you on the Cervelo and Felt? If you are worried about the fit, then there is no better way to find out if the bike fits than to actually get fit! I would not worry about what other people's experiences are with fit because everyone is so different.

And if in fact, this shop is telling you that they can get you a P3 or B2 for $3000 (really only interested in the P3), then let me know what shop this is because I will buy one for my wife in a heartbeat.

They have a Cervelo P3 frame from 2008 and the Felt B2 is also last year's model. I would buy the set and they would help me build the bike. I'm hoping I can test out a few of the bikes BEFORE agreeing to buy it. I want a bike that will last me through quite a few more race ( planning to keep it at least 5 years). I have some thinking to do.

Ahh ok, makes more sense now. Assuming the P3 fits, then I would suggest that. I have seen and experienced many issues with the bayonet fork on the B2 (rubbing up against the frame and causing damage).

The P3 will be a little steeper than the B2.

You're supposed to wait until after you buy one to tell other people where you're getting your deal.

Tribe is a F.I.S.T. certified shop.  Have them fit you and THEN decide what bike is right for you.
