There has been some discussion about the destructive effects of diet coke and its ability to corrode metal. In order to put the unruly pedals in their place..threats have been made to soak them in diet coke overnight

You know...you started off nice (and yes I did have some band aids---JAR JAR aids)--but then had to get that little jab in. And yes it probably is my punishment...but because no-one was around to see it, I'm concerned that i have a bigger punishment still in the works.

On a side note...It was strange falling..It was a lot slower and less painful than I thought..maybe next time I'll be able to seriously injure myself

That's a fantastic idea! Corrode your clips (quickly and on the fly) with Diet Coke to aid in efficient unclipping in emergency situations...(!) Whizzzzz

Ok, you're right, I'm wrong. Sorry about the fall - I know it SUCKS! And I know that slow falling feeling then the THUD. BTW SB bandaids have better karmic healing power than JJ bandaids.  Hey... JarJar...JJ... I see... Never mind.

That's a silly question!  That's like asking "Will a triathlete pee their pants in a race?"

Well, I guess we joined on the same day so our seniority dates will be the same. Unfortunately though, mine was in front of 5 other folks. (first ride with more than 2 or 3 this year)

Earlier I'd noticed my pedals were getting tougher to get out of but figured I'd adjust things later. Then came the stop sign I started trying to unclip well ahead of time. Kept trying even while balancing for a second and then PLOP with much laughter. The laughter increased b/c a constable pulled up rolled down his window and asked if I needed training wheels, apparently he saw the whole thing.

Note to self and all, if your pedals are getting harder to take your shoe out of adjust them then, not later.
