Is this something I can just have my LBS do for me? Or is it easy enough to figure out on my own? I have no knowlege, and I am getting my bike fit (and off layaway, yay!) this week. Would it be reasonable to buy one at the LBS and have them put it on?

Thanks

Bryan

I just installed one a few weeks ago, and it was pretty straightforward.  However, how comfortable would you feel putting it on?  If the bike is already at the shop, it'd take them just a few minutes to do it.

Fifteen minutes, top, if you have a glimmer of mechanical aptitude.

But, yeah, if your bike is at the shop, and you're buying the computer from them, then let them do the installation. They should do it for free.

Exactly!

By the way: If they install it, make sure they give you the instruction booklet before you leave.

Good point, but I know that Cateye has all their manuals online in .pdf format for ready access (particularly if you zero out your computer and can't remember a wheel setting).
