Does anybody ride a 2008 felt b12 I am looking at purchasing one. I am trying to find any differences between the 2008 and 2009 b12, all I see our different components? Is the frame the same? Also how do you like the bike? thanks for your help

I have a 2008 and absolutely love love love it. I am not sure the differences are worth the extra bux for the 2009...

But I got mine for a steal, so who am I to talk about price... ( $1700 )

I've got 2 Felt bikes... also a road bike and have really enjoyed both.

Nevermind, I just read the review for the 2009. Unless you are getting a screaming deal on the 2008, go with the 2009 model.

i was going to get the 2009 b12, and found a used 2008 DA w/ some race wheels for not much more $ than the B12 new.  Just kind of stumbled upon it.  Just wanted to give you the heads up as i wasn't even looking at DAs.

Thanks for all of the input. I just spoke to a felt dealer, at trisports.com and they told me that the 2008 and 2009 B12 have the same frame. But the article from Bikesport Michigan says that the frames are completely different. I think the article might be referring to the 2007. Anyways i am pretty sure that I will going with the 2008. I thought i was getting a good deal, at 1900, But 1700 thats an awesome price!

Good idea I think (and a great deal). I bought a 2006 S22 for $1800 last summer, I love it, but would rather have the '08 B12!!

I was very very lucky. I had a bike shop guy who had a really small bike (50 cm, 650 wheels) and he needed to move it.

I have a 2008 Felt B12 and I'm happy with it.  I would love to have a new 2009 B12 (with the 2008 color scheme)  due to the improvements but I have no real buyer's remorse.   You make the buy decision based on what's available at the time and the 2008 B12 fit me and I liked the other aspects of the bike.  The 2008 B12 compared favorably to other $2500 price range bike in a Demerly review.  http://www.bikesportmichigan.com/reviews/2500wars.shtml

There was no B12 in '07.  That was the first year for the new carbon aero design and there were only the B2 and the bayonet DA.  In '08 they came out with the B12 and upped the B2 to include a bayonet model called the B2 Pro.

If Tom is telling you the '09 B12 is a rebadged B2 frame, then I would believe him on that.  You can always call Felt directly or go over to Slowtwitch and see if Superdave will respond to the question (he's one of the Felt bigwigs now).

When my '07 B2 had a seat clamp issue they replaced the entire frame under warranty for a B2 Pro frame as that was the equivalent that they had in '08.  I still had the '07 fork, so basically my frame/fork is the same as the '09 B12 model according to Tom's article.

I would recommend ponying up the few extra bucks and getting the '09.  It is really well spec'ed for the dough and you will not be disappointed!!

Thanks a lot, Now I hate you for making me want this bike!

Not that I can even afford a bike till I finish saving my pennies this fall/winter, and even then the MSRP on this bike is about 1200-1400 more than my budget...sigh, something to work towards for the far flung future I guess.
