Subject: RE: Why is running slow better? Bioteknik - 2009-06-28 6:08 PM Running "slow" which should mean comfortable, makes it a whole lot easier to increase your long runs, and or total volume for the week. I've done a few road races and usually finish in the top ~1/3 overall on basically just volume and no speedwork. Some of the distance increases were rather agressive, but I was only truly sore once or twice. I'm definitely battling soreness during runs, right in the knee joints. I think I need to not only slow down, but shorten them, and then gradually work up to longer distances. Hope I haven't done any serious damage. |
