Grump.

Wife had tooth out Saturday. Bad reaction to painkillers. Therefore yours truly spend the weekend looking after 3 kids and a sick wife. Got in a quick session in the gym Saturday morning before the tooth came out but that was it – no long bike ride no swim and I had to do all the weekly chores and go to a homeschoolers meeting last night. On top of that the baby decided to have a bad night last night so I had a really bad night sleep and skipped the gym this AM.

So now I get to work through lunch so I can go home early and talk to some guy about doing my fencing, then cook dinner for the sick ones then cklean up and hen I get to go to the gym – to take the eldest to her class.

Me? I may get the chance to swim and do a quick workout on the treadmill. I hope so – I feel like I need it now.

I hope I sleep tonight!!

Hello All!Even though I last logged on, on Saturday I feel like I missed you guys! Anyway, KICKED BUTT! in the pool today. Finally got under the 18 min for 800m. (17:52)! Woo Hoo! It started off pitfully though. I got in and the pool was COLD!!!! I mean usually the temp is at an unbearable 80+. But today it was friggin' 73 degrees. Ouch! Then it looked like someone turned on a wave machine in the pool. The water was bumping and thrashing like the ocean. It was crazy. So when I started it felt sooooo SLOW! Then a girl got in the pool next to me and the competive spirit came out. I started zooming and what do you know had my best time in a while. Woo Hoo!Also had a 2 mile run and 4 mile bike before the swim. Ran 13 minutes w/o stopping on the run and 15 min total! Woo Hoo!

I did my typical Y day. 30 minutes on the rower, 30 minutes bike, 30 minutes run and 30 minutes in the pool. I stayed out late on Saturday and slept all day on Sunday and am not quite so tired as I was last week.

Gone all weekend (did ya' miss me?) to go on location of my next triathlon and do some training. It's some distance from... everything! So camping was required. Bummer! (I'm being facetious... just to be clear)

So I'll through in my weekend training on top of today's:

Saturday 50 mile ride followed by 30 minute swim
Sunday 24.8 mile ride followed by 30 minute run

And today will be... a rest day!

Happy Monday, all!!

Great run today! good news after Friday's fiasco. (see my log)

Today I ran my north course with the hill up to the street (about 3.5 miles) in 32 minutes! I didn't stop then... I went on for another mile or so! Longest run to day - Strongest run to date!

Zoiks, only a few minutes left and I can start the Tuesday thread.

Weights & Run tonight. Took run slow. Have to keep reminding myself I have 4 months still to get faster, and last thing I need is to turn the slight achilles aggravation I had into a full blown injury.

Feeling good now, but time to go sleep!
